J Michael Smallwood, Founder & CEO
Company founder and CEO, Michael Smallwood, brings over 15 years of software consulting and management experience to drive the innovative team that is Syndicated Methods. Combining a unique background in both Computer Science and business development, his unrelenting drive towards excellence has resulted in key client relationships with established companies such as Apple, MyHeritage, Priority Travel Group and The Original Cult as well as newly funded startup companies Consensus Interactive and Mobile Innovations.
Prior to founding Syndicated Methods, Michael was the Director of West-Coast Operations for Mindseye, Inc., a Boston based web development and consulting firm where clients included Fidelity, Monster, Atlas Venture, FootJoy, and Aspen Snowmass.
While pursuing an academic career in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts, Michael was lured into the Boston tech boom in the late 1990s. Now residing in San Diego, Michael continues to be an active member of technology and business groups in both California and New England.
Michael Hodgdon, CTO & Director of East Coast Operations
Chief Technology Officer and Director of East Coast Operations, Michael Hodgdon, has consulted in the hardware and software industry for over 15 years. Maintaining a disciplined practice between hardware and software has positioned him perfectly to drive all things technology at Syndicated Methods. The first half of Mr. Hodgdon's consulting career was held at such organizations as Adobe, NCR, and Harvard University where he implemented and managed Information Technology systems and scalable server solutions. After working closely with software engineers on their datacenter rollouts, Michael quickly turned his attention to the software development practice. It was here where his passion for Microsoft development began and matured into expertise in the .NET Framework in the area of web and service related technologies. Mr. Hodgdon has perfected these skills by working with some of New England's premier Microsoft Gold Partner consulting practices implementing backend services and middleware for Fortune 100 companies.
Michael studied Management Information Systems at Wentworth Institute of Technology. His expertise in the software industry is in Object Oriented development and the Software Development Lifecycle focusing on efficiencies for the development process.
Stephen Dewitsky, Director of Mobile Engineering
Not your typical professional, Stephen adopted his love for software development in the intimate setting of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Days filled with fresh powder and nights filled with executables. The philosophies and respect instilled by his instructors gave him the tools to anticipate the next topic and apply techniques that transcend language barriers. Now residing in San Diego, Stephen and his colleagues give each other the opportunity to push the limits of their imagination and achieve a common goal of success and personal growth. Robert Gaither, Director of Sales
As director of Sales for Syndicated Methods, Robert Gaither brings his passion for everything mobile along with 16 years of sales and marketing experience to lead in developing new business. Robert’s excitement for mobile technology is contagious and he enjoys promoting mobile software as a tool to help brands enhance products and services. His primary role involves educating and aligning clients with mobile solutions utilizing Syndicated Methods’ MobilePipes server software and showing market ROI.
Having been involved in several early stage companies, Robert joined Syndicated Methods with a storied sales background, selling everything from apparel to light airplanes. Robert is also the proud keeper of the unofficial office mascot, a dog named Lowlow, who spends her days keeping tabs on the rest of the team.
